course
Introduced in 2026, this linear race takes place in the Réserve faunique de Matane, on the International Appalachian Trail (IAT).
The start signal is given at the Chalet de la rivière Matane-4. After 3 km, you reach the Lac Tombereau checkpoint, before tackling the last 12 km of our 39 km course. Don't be fooled by the distance: with a little over 1,000m of elevation gain, this is a tough course! The finish line awaits you at Lac Matane, after a demanding and technical 1.5 km descent from the summit of Nid de l'Aigle.
Progress on this route will be slow, as the SIA is renowned for its rocks, roots and dense vegetation.

ALTERNATIVE PATHWAY
The UTCC takes place in the protected area of caribou habitat, a vulnerable species,
so the race course could be modified if a sector is closed due to the presence of individuals on the trail.
